Still Exploring

A couple of new digital paintings. I am still sorting through some of the many painting apps available for the iPhone and iPad. It can be a bit overwhelming to say the least. ArtRage and Brushstroke are pretty impressive. I am starting to try out Waterlogue, and also I follow the blog Art of Mob to see what others are using and what they think of a particular app. http://artofmob.blogspot.com/

A Different Aproach

Here are a few more digital paintings that I have done over this last few days. I am exploring the various painting apps and styles available, and see them as just trial runs,  not necessarily finished works. At this point the journey is just beginning. Kurt

Getting Started

The merging of new technologies and traditional mark making very much intrigues me. As a result, I have begun working with the iPad and various painting apps to explore digital painting. With a background both in abstract painting and digital photography, I thought this might be a way for me to combine that old love with my recent explorations in alternative photography. Below are some examples of recent attempts at learning this new way of creating art.
